  Israel’s bombardment of the Gaza Strip entered its seventh consecutive day with air raids early on Sunday killing at least 33 Palestinians, wounding dozens more, and flattening at least two residential buildings. The home of Gaza’s Hamas chief, Yehya al-Sinwar, was also targeted, according to the group’s media. In Israel’s Tel Aviv, people dashed for bomb shelters as sirens warning of incoming rocket fire blared across the city. More than 180, including at least 52 children, have been killed in the Gaza Strip in the past week. More than 1,000 others have been wounded. In the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces have killed at least 13 Palestinians. Israel has reported 10 dead, including two children. The United Nations Security Council meets on Sunday to discuss the worst outbreak of violence in years in Palestine and Israel.

  The UN says 10,000 Palestinians have been forced out of their homes in the Gaza Strip, as the death toll reaches 126. Israel continued to bombard the Gaza Strip with air raids and artillery shells on Saturday, as it stepped up the deployment of troops and tanks near the besieged Palestinian enclave. At least 126 Palestinians, including 31 children, have been killed and 920 have been wounded since hostilities flared up on Monday. The death toll is expected to rise, as another series of Israeli air assaults hit the Shati refugee camp in Gaza killing at least seven people, including six children, while burying several others in the rubble. Thousands of Palestinian families have taken shelter in United Nations-run schools in northern Gaza to escape Israeli artillery fire.
